New Volunteer Orientation

Interested in becoming a volunteer?

New Volunteer Orientation:  April 29th at 10am 
Where:  Independence Branch Library, 6361 Selig Drive, Independence, OH, 44131

(*Must be able to attend an additional Shelter Introduction Class on either: May 6th at 10am or May 7th at 10am)

Youth Service Project

*This is for youths ages 16-19 who need to fulfill academic community hours, but would like to do so at their own speed.  Please download this application and send it to the shelter c/o Jen Huettich/Volunteer Coordinator.

Junior Shelter Assistant Orientation

*This is for youths ages 9 -15 interested in learning about what goes on behind the scenes at the shelter. This volunteer position requires a three month commitment at 4 hours a month.

Please download application and mail or submit to  

10 positions open for both the 9-12yrs. and 13-15yrs. age group.  This is a 12 week long session.  

When: TBA (Tentatively end of May/mid June)
