VALLEY VIEW, Ohio - Cleveland Browns lineman Danny Shelton donned a Santa Claus outfit and brought donations of holiday treats, food and toys for the dogs of the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter on Tuesday.

Shelton, a huge dog lover, is affectionately known as Santa Paws, as he visits the dogs and staff at the shelter. This is the second year Shelton has participated in the event.

"Last year, the supplies got us through a good part of the winter," said Mindy Naticchioni, shelter director.

The shelter serves as the home for lost and stray dogs in Cuyahoga County. At any given time, there may be as many as 113 dogs. Funding to run the shelter comes from yearly licensing fees.

Shelton is a regular visitor to the shelter. He has four dogs of his own, two huskies, a pit bull, and a French bulldog.
