Adopt Me! Have you lost your dog? Dog Licenses Videos

At this current time, the shelter is closed to the visiting public. We will continue to provide care and enrichment to our dogs and provide safety to our community as it pertains to dangerous and injured dogs. During times of crisis, it is common for more animals to come displaced and fill our shelters. That being said, we would ask that the community consider the following guidelines:
  • Intake - For now we are only responding to emergency and partner pick ups, such as injured or menacing dogs. If a dog is loose in your community, we'd ask that you do your best to confine and hold that animal at your home. Call and give us all the information and we will create a lost record, 216-525-PUPS. Posting on social media is a great way to reunite lost dogs and owners.
  • Adopting - If you are seriously interested in adopting one of our dogs, we welcome the opportunity to match you with a new pet. With the current shelter in place order, we are holding off on adoptions for now. If there is a dog you are interested in adopting you can email us at and we will follow up with you once the order has been lifted.
  • Donations - Thank you for thinking of us! Unless we do a call out for a critically needed item, we'd ask that you hold donations for the future. We depend on your in-kind donations and certainly don't want to lose them, but we want to keep everyone safe, so we all can wait!
  • Payments - Whenever possible we'd ask that clients use credit for payments and restrict the use of cash as much as possible. Cards can be disenfected, cash is tougher.
  • Fosters - If you are interested in fostering one of our dogs during this time we would love to hear from you! Please email us at We just need to know a little about the number of people in your household, children, and resident pets. From there we will get in touch if we think there is a good fit for you.

The shelter continues to maintain our rigorous disinfection protocols for the animals and has put additional protocols in place for humans. We ask everyone to follow the guidelines set out by the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organizations to keep us all safe.

We want to send our sincerest thanks to the Petfinder Foundation for continuing to support CCAS and our dogs. Their emergency COVID-19 response grant has allowed us to ensure that all our temporary foster families have crates for foster dogs as they adjust in their new homes. During this unprecendanted and difficult time, we could not be thankful enough for their support.
